Twitter

Twitter is an online social networking service and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read text-based messages of up to 140 characters, known as "tweets".
It was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey and launched that July. The service rapidly gained worldwide popularity, with over 500 millions users as of 2012, generating over 340 million tweets daily and handling over 1.6 billion search per day. Twitter Inc. is based in San Francisco, with additional servers and offices in New York, and San Antonio.

2 important TWITTER criteria:

1.Photosharing and Class notices

-Photosharing is one of the way for people to share their photo of what they do in their daily life such as their hobby, thier interest and what happened at that time.


-Class notices is a way to communicate with a group such as class group or family group in a way to let them know about some important events and other occasion.




2.Why is it important?
-Photosharing : It is because without picture on twitter, it will be less fun since some people are tend to read less because nowadays people like more picture then description.Twitter also plans to provide photo galleries designed to gather and syndicate all photos that a user has uploaded on Twitter and third-party services such as TwitPic.

-Class notices : It is important because having a notice will make people remember about some important events or on going occasion.

3.Limitation and benefits.
For photo sharing, there is no limit but only for the word as it can only up to 140 words only and 3 MB.
For class notices, it can be short-formed as a simple notice just to let others know.

4.When do we use photo sharing and Class notices?
-We use both of this every time we have something important to tell others and share pictures in order to let them know about something.
